China Prefabricated Construction Industry News Flash

 

Prefabricated building technology is not only getting higher government supports in China, but also has a more widespread and diverse application. Here are partial hot news in China’s prefabricated building industry this April.  

 

 

To advance adoption of BIM technology, Hunan is the first province to propose BIM construction project review. After a year of development, its BIM project review system is finally ready. It’s been reported that the system will be put into trial run this June.

 

 

Prefabricated construction is now a must-have in Qinhuangdao City’s govt-led projects. According to the city’s 2020 prefabricated building development goals, all govt-invested constructions, especially public housing projects, must be built in a prefabricated fashion. 

 

Kunming City, Yunnan Province is giving its shanty towns a facelift. Its plan is to renovate 2 million square meters of old neighbourhood in 2020, beginning in late June and finishing in late October.

 

Chongqing’s first portable prefabricated fire safety museum will meet citizens this May. Designed by Dima Industry, it’s a 2-torey container construction painted red, orange and yellow. This unique museum is going to bring Chinese educators new ideas in spreading knowledge among the public.

 

 

April 13th, a prefabricated smart garbage recycling cabin is erected in Qingdao City, Shandong Province. With China pressing on with its garbage sorting and recycling scheme, Qingdao has certainly set a great example for other cities to learn and follow.
